I am a Leadership Coach. A Transformation Coach.

I am accredited by the International Coaching Federation.

That means I have invested in qualified training, been observed and mentored, have hundreds of hours of experience and been adjudicated, and tested. It also means I commit to the code of ethics of the International Coaching Federation.

And I’m a wee bit disruptive. I will challenge you to step into your strengths.

I’ve worked with great leaders, world-renowned public figures, and new leaders on their way to becoming leaders of impact.

I’ve built and led high-value, high-performing, innovative and resilient teams that have accomplished more than imagined in complex, challenging and fast paced transformational environments.

I’ve led teams that have changed cultures from non-trusting, divisive and adversarial, to collaborative, cohesive and innovative.

I’ve coached young professionals, retired leaders, and the newly promoted; people in transition, people with enormous loads at work while managing difficult changes at home, and people looking for their own transformation.

I’ve coached teams and groups and people with powerful visions and passions, dreams and goals, and those struggling to find common ground and (re-) learning to work together.

I have also struggled as a leader, been a dreadful boss (with apologies to former team members) and never had the support to grow swiftly into a leader of impact. It took years at the school of very hard knocks, where I’ve had the good fortune to learn from some amazing leaders, and learned what not to do from all those mediocre to dreadful leaders that left damage and chaos in their wake.

I am on a mission to shorten the journey from struggling manager to leader of impact; of resilient, innovative and creative teams.

My Mission: To Enable and Empower You to Recognize, Inspire and Unleash the Expanding Potential in Yourself, Your Team Members and Teams.

My Journey to Here

For as long as I can remember, life has been an adventure. Every single day there have been people to discover, and things to explore.

Coaching has been part of my life since my teens.

I have rich memories going back to those early years, of conversations, learning about individuals, their dreams and aspirations and recognizing their strengths and capabilities that would support them in realizing their dreams. And people responded with comments such as “I feel so good talking to you about this!” “I know I can do this now!”.

Exploring Challenges - to Grow

As a young teen I spent hours exploring the river beside my home – on foot and in a row boat where I was no match for the roaring river. And yet the question that kept me going back was “What AM I able to do?” as I challenged the current and learned the eddies.

My university degree - a journey of fascinating discovery - led me to roles that I either liked - for a time - or didn’t. Something “more” was always missing. The Challenge to discover “what am I really able to do” lingered.

Exploring - and Expanding

I took up activities that I hoped would help me find my ability-ledges and growth-edges.

There were many insights gleaned from rock climbing, white water rafting and parachuting - and life!

Exploring, Expanding - and Excelling

I left the boring jobs and had the best job in the world.

I was a coach, exploring the (almost) impossible dreams and visions of my clients; helping them design and take steps to achieve their bold futures. This was inspiring and again the growth of my clients, and their successes, were exciting!

I moved to a foreign country, accepted a job with the condition of functional fluency within six months in a language, and an industry, in which I had no experience. Challenge accepted. What a journey that was! Yes, it was stressful. And achievable.

I am a coach, a leader and project/ program operations professional, and have built and led high-value, very high-performing teams in very-large, complex and fast-paced transformational project and program delivery. I have built pragmatic and high-performing Program Management and Enterprise Project/ Program Management offices and teams that enabled adoption of significant change due to transition and transformation. I’ve built teams that shifted cultures, opened conversations across polarized chasms and facilitated project success.

And, once again, the best, most inspiring work was supporting - and propelling - (coaching!) my team members to their greatest capabilities.

What about you?

Growth?

Is there a gap between where you are and where you want to be?

Transition or Transformation?

Are you transitioning from/to something?

Is there a vision that’s burning a hole within. . . waiting to become reality?

Is what you are doing draining you, rather than energizing you?

Imposter Thinking?

Let’s myth-bust that! It can be a powerful tool that can serve you!

Facing burnout?

Not recommended. Recovery, even for the young and fit, takes time!

Let me share the magic - the power - of empowering your team to proactively accept accountability and accomplish ‘amazing‘.

Difficult Performance Conversations?

You know the ones: the team member didn’t do what had been assigned. Targets were missed. Quality was off. . .

Let me help you short-circuit this to make the conversation easy - and comfortable for both of you!

Avoiding Conflict?

As a leader, secrets held by team members serve no one! Conflict, divisive voices, are benefits that enable excellence!

Balancing challenge at work AND home?

Let’s start the conversation! Email me.

Let’s start with a Conversation

What would that conversation look like?

First: you’ll learn that the space is protected: I am bound to confidentiality by my accreditation (International Coaching Federation ethics)

Second: I know you have a lot on your mind, perhaps weighing on your heart. There’s no rush. There’s no pressure. The journey is yours, at your pace.

Third: As a gardener, I love to create beautiful calm spaces where the “inhabitants” - the plants - are set up to thrive. My coaching “space” is similar. It is a space held for you to explore what’s on your mind with courage.

And so begins our conversation.

Coaching is a Journey of hard work - on your part. You will be challenged - if you are ready - to grow.

Coaching is a relationship - And it has to work for you.

My Mission and My Commitment to you: To enable you to recognize and embrace your individual strengths: to unleash the expanding potential in yourself, your team members and teams: To help you see and realize your brilliance, to enable you to excel, boldly.

Are you Ready?

I invite you to contact me and let’s get started!

(PS. You don’t need a coach (see my blog on that). But chances are you will really enjoy/ benefit/ flourish - and reach your goals more swiftly - if you have one)
